We’re back in action at home Sunday 8th October and focus shifts to Challenge Cup action as the squad battle Nottingham Panthers. Both teams will be determined to progress in the competition and a win on Sunday for The Storm is crucial.

TEAM NEWS: Captain Cam Critchlow made his return to action on Wednesday evening, helping guide the team to a 3-2 overtime victory. Cam will be in the lineup this Sunday against Nottingham Panthers.

Forwards Loren Ulett, Michael Korol and Sam Tremblay remain day to day with minor injuries. Head Coach Matt Ginn hopes to have the trio available for the weekends action but all three will be ‘game time’ decisions.

Head Coach Matt Ginn had this to say ahead of the weekends action: “I’m pleased with the start that we’ve had and the position we’ve put ourselves in. We know it’s still early and there’s always things to work on, but the buy in and commitment the guys have shown has been tremendous. It’s a great group that are a lot of fun to work with. Most encouraging for me is when we’ve faced adversity early on the guys have responded, which shows the character of the group we have. The support we’ve had from the fans has been awesome and the guys definitely feed off that when the Shelter is rocking. We’ll need that going forward so keep coming out and cheering on the guys!

You heard the Head Coach, Manchester – We need YOU this weekend as we hit home ice and battle for Challenge Cup points against Nottingham Panthers! We saw over 6,150+ fans through the doors of the ‘Storm Shelter’ in September! If you’re yet to witness a Manchester Storm fixture – experience the atmosphere with us this October!
