PRIDE WEEKEND HOME DOUBLE HEADER – ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW

MANCHESTER STORM VS COVENTRY BLAZE  – LEAGUE FIXTURE – SATURDAY 20th JANUARY 2024 @ 7PM – PLANET ICE ALTRINCHAM

MANCHESTER STORM VS GLASGOW CLAN  – LEAGUE FIXTURE – SUNDAY 21st JANUARY 2024 @ 5.30PM – PLANET ICE ALTRINCHAM

Manchester Storm are back in action this weekend with not one, but TWO fixtures inside the Storm Shelter! This weekend we celebrate #Pride as part of the annual league wide event with all teams taking part this month.

In our weekends fixtures against Coventry Blaze (Saturday 20th January 2024) and Glasgow Clan (Sunday 21st January 2024) the squad will wear a specially commissioned #Pride jersey to raise awareness and show that Manchester Storm and the Elite League as a whole is a safe space for the LGBTQ+ community.

“Our fans showed us at the Playoff Finals Weekend back in 2019 how important it is to them that our sport celebrates inclusion and diversity, which led to our first Pride Weekend in 2020. We made a very clear commitment then that we wanted to promote the message that ice hockey is a safe space for LGBTQ+ athletes and fans alike, and we have been proud to continue celebrating this message for two more seasons since the pandemic,” said EIHL Media & Communications Manager Luke Fisher.

“Every time we organise our Pride event, both ourselves and our partners are blown away by how much our fans support this initiative. We hope Pride 2024 will continue to show just how importantly our fans value this message in the sport of ice hockey”.
