Storm Secure Return of Fan Favourite Joe Nardi

Manchester Storm are delighted to announce the return of Canadian forward Joseph Nardi for the 2026–27 EIHL season following an impressive debut year in Manchester.

The 29-year-old forward quickly became a fan favourite during the 2025–26 campaign, bringing flair and creativity to the match night line-up. A mid-season injury stalled personal progress a little; however, Nardi finished the year with a solid 25 point (12G 13A) return over 39 league games.

Originally from Edmonton, Alberta, Nardi arrived in Manchester ahead of the 2025–26 season following spells in the ECHL and Europe. Prior to joining the Storm, he enjoyed a standout collegiate career at Northern Michigan University, where he captained the programme and established himself as a proven leader on and off the ice.

After making an immediate impact in Storm colours, the club and supporters will undoubtedly be thrilled to see the skilled forward back for another season as preparations continue for an exciting new era of Manchester Storm hockey.

Head Coach Cam Critchlow commented on another key piece returning to the fold:

“Joe was a huge part of our group last season. He brings a high level of professionalism every single day and competes hard in every situation. His offensive ability speaks for itself, but what really stands out is his character and his willingness to dig deep in the trickiest of moments. We’re extremely pleased to have him back in Manchester for another year.”
