STORM FORECAST – Storm vs Glasgow Clan The Ultimate Storm Preview

Love is in the air around the Storm Shelter, but there’s not necessarily any love lost with our latest opponents as Valentine’s Day is also Fan Appreciation Night too.

We love the Storm and we know you do too so it’s a perfect night to show what we mean to each other, and we can’t wait to do that amidst the backdrop of another high temp Elite League clash.

Once more, at the time of writing, tickets are almost gone so the only other place to see the game unless you’re coming to the Storm Shelter is on our live webcast, available to purchase now.

Face off is at 7:00pm, with doors opening for season tickets holders at 5:45pm then for everyone else at 6:00pm.

NEXT IN THE STORM SHELTER…

After last night’s first part in Braehead Arena, the conclusion of the weekend is here as Glasgow Clan have followed us down the M6 for this Saturday night showcase.

There is rarely a dull moment in meetings between the two clubs and this one will be no different as both sides look to cement two Elite League points.

As the play-offs start to get closer and closer, this has the makings of another great night of action.

FAN APPRECIATION NIGHT

It’s a night of love and there’s no better night to show that as we let you shape the night ahead, such as the warm-up playlist, the pre-game ceremonial puck drop and presentation of the Man of the Match MVP award.

Don’t forget to check out the specially designed jersey by James Williams, who won our recent competition for this occasion and those will be available for Shirt off the Back (see below).

Plus with giveaways and discounts, not to mention messages on the screens during the intervals, it really is going to be a special one at the Storm.

SKATE WITH THE STORM

As well as everything else we’ve just mentioned, Skate with the Storm returns for the final time after this game and one more chance for you to not only share the ice with your Storm heroes, but meet them, talk to them, get their autographs too.

Skate with the Storm will run from 9:30pm till 10:30pm and is FREE for all game ticket holders who bring their own skates.  If you need skates, you can hire them from Planet Ice for £5.

WYTHENSHAWE FOODBANK APPEAL

THE STORY SO FAR

17 Sep – Glasgow 3 Manchester 2 (Elite League)

10 Oct – Glasgow 0 Manchester 4 (Elite League)

16 Jan – Manchester 5 Glasgow 1 (Elite League)

13 Feb – Glasgow 4 Manchester 3 OT (Elite League)

It’s a fifth meeting of the season and second in two nights as Storm and Clan take to the ice once more in Elite League play after last night’s OT loss in Glasgow.

Manchester have won the only other meeting at the Storm Shelter just last month and have won five of the last six in this building against our Glasgow counterparts.

LAST TIME OUT

Last night’s game comes too late for us to add the highlights, but it was a good Manchester win when Glasgow came here last month.

MATCH NIGHT COMPS

50/50 DRAW

Why not leave the Storm Shelter as a winner through one of our competitions, taking place throughout the night?

We have our 50/50 draw, where you could go home a little richer.  Tickets are only £1 a go so keep an eye out for our match night sellers, or head to the Storm Support desk located under Block 113.

SHIRT OFF THE BACK

We mentioned it earlier, but tonight – to mark Fan Appreciation Night – Storm will wear jerseys designed by James Williams, who won our competition.

The good news is all game worn/game issued jerseys are up for grabs so to be in with a chance of taking one home tonight purchase a ticket for the draw, priced at £5 each, so look out for our match night sellers, or head to the Storm Support desk located under Block 113.

Check the screens when the numbers are announced to find out if you are a winner. It could be you!

Winners can collect their jerseys in the usual process.

CHUCK A PUCK

It’s exactly what it says.  Chuck a foam puck in the direction of Lightning Jack, standing on centre ice and if your puck is the closest, you win a commemorative puck AND a replica jersey of your choice (terms and conditions apply).

You know what to do.  Purchase those pucks (£1 each) and find a great position at the second period break from where you can chuck that puck.  Good luck!

These can be purchased from the Storm Support Match Night Desk located under Block 113.
