The weekend is upon us and another two games loom large as Manchester Storm have the chance to add to the four points they picked up last weekend.

First up, it’s a trip to Glasgow to take on the Clan for the second time this season at Braehead Arena and both teams will come together on Friday night (face off 7:30pm).

Then it’s back home to the Storm Shelter where Dundee Stars will provide the opposition in what’s sure to be a loud and thrilling night of action on Saturday (Face off 7pm).

COACH’S COMMENTS

Storm coach Cameron Critchlow was delighted to capture four points from the weekend – but he’s not getting too excited yet.

Victories over Nottingham Panthers in the Challenge Cup then Fife Flyers in the league made a great couple of days for him and the team.

And while he was pleased to see it all coming together, his focus is all about the challenges to come this weekend against Glasgow Clan and Dundee Stars.

“It was nice to see our team be rewarded for their execution and hard work,” he said.  “It’s good to see the offence come alive⁠ and we had some outstanding performances.

“While it’s good to see players growing their roles, ⁠two games don’t make a season.  It’s great momentum for us to ride, however, every game presents a new challenge and we look forward to the weekend.”

SKATE WITH THE STORM

After the game tonight, you can join your favourite Storm players on the ice in our first Skate with the Storm session of the season.

It’s a chance to get your merchandise signed, meet the players or even just enjoy a skate around the rink as we bring Saturday night to a close in a great relaxed surrounding.

PLAYER TO WATCH

Matt Berry (Dundee Stars) – Life at his new club has gone well for Berry since swapping Glasgow Clan for the Stars.

With ten points (four goals and six assists) in his opening nine games in Challenge Cup and league play, Berry could be one the Storm D will keep an eye on.

A good finisher and the ability to make the most of space he’s in certainly makes him a threat and is one of many Dundee players who will be looking to add to their point tallies.

CHUCK A PUCK

It’s exactly what it says.  Chuck a foam puck in the direction of Lightning Jack, standing on centre ice and if your puck is the closest, you win a commemorative puck AND a replica jersey of your choice (terms and conditions apply).

You know what to do.  Purchase those pucks (£1 each) and find a great position at the second period break from where you can chuck that puck.  Good luck!
