Friday night equals game night as we get ready for another weekend of action, beginning with the visit of Coventry Blaze to the Storm Shelter.

We’re only weeks away from the end of the season and this one will be every bit as tough as every team looks to end the campaign strongly.

It’s almost another sellout at the time of writing, so the only other place to see the game unless you’re coming to the Storm Shelter is on our live webcast, available to purchase now.

Face off is at 7:30pm, with doors opening for season tickets holders at 6:15pm then for everyone else at 6:30pm.

 

NEXT IN THE STORM SHELTER…

It’s been a season of two halves for the Coventry Blaze after struggling to find any consistency for the first part of the campaign.

The second half however has been excellent for them since the turn of the year as they not only cemented a play-off place but are looking ahead to next week’s Challenge Cup Final with Nottingham Panthers.

While that’s something to look forward to, it’s all about the here and now and what promises to be a closely fought contest with Manchester Storm.

WYTHENSHAWE FOODBANK APPEAL

Along with Planet Ice, we are continuing our foodbank appeal with our friends at Wythenshawe Foodbank and donations are welcomed for this one.

Led by Storm in the Community, this collaboration gives our passionate fans the chance to help support those less fortunate within our local area.

Bring your donations to any drop off point at any ticket entrance and they will go directly to Wythenshawe Foodbank for distribution.

It’s the eighth and final regular season matchup between the sides and with five of the previous seven needing overtime or a shootout, it tells you all you need to know about how close these contests have been.

Storm have won four out of seven, including all three in the Storm Shelter so far and have taken at least a point from every meeting against the Blaze.  This one could be every bit as tight.

 

LAST TIME OUT

The teams last met at the Skydome three weeks ago in Manchester’s final regular season visit and for the fourth straight meeting, it needed an extra period to try and split them.

CHUCK A PUCK

It’s exactly what it says.  Chuck a foam puck in the direction of Lightning Jack, standing on centre ice and if your puck is the closest, you win a commemorative puck AND a replica jersey of your choice (terms and conditions apply).

You know what to do.  Purchase those pucks (£1 each) and find a great position at the second period break from where you can chuck that puck.  Good luck!

If you’re unable to get a ticket for this one, tickets are available for next Saturday’s Pink the Rink game against Guildford Flames at the Storm Shelter.

You won’t be surprised to know tickets are already going really fast so avoid disappointment by getting them now (Face off 7:00pm).
