STORM FORECAST – Storm vs Cardiff Devils | The Ultimate Storm Preview
It’s Sunday hockey on the agenda as we close in on a busy festive period and with three games to come in the next week, we’ll deal with those in due course.
It’s all about the visit of Cardiff Devils this time in what promises to be a highly competitive, maybe even edgy affair as both teams look to head into Christmas on a high.

NEXT IN THE STORM SHELTER…
Today we welcome Cardiff Devils to the Storm Shelter in this latest Elite League outing and while Manchester will come into the game fresh, the Devils faced the Sheffield Steelers last night.
Previous meetings have given this fixture something of an edge, but Cardiff come into the weekend with some momentum with six wins from their last seven coming.
Oh and did you know it’s Storm’s 300th home game in all competitions since joining the Elite League in 2015?

- 27 Sep – Manchester 1 Cardiff 2 (Challenge Cup)
- 01 Nov – Cardiff 3 Manchester 2 (Elite League)
- 22 Nov – Manchester 5 Cardiff 4 (Elite League)
It’s the fifth meeting of the season between the teams this season with the Devils winning three out of four so far.
Ten points separate the teams in the standings going into the weekend, with Cardiff in second place (31 points from 20 games) while Storm are in fifth, with 21 points from 17 outings.
LAST TIME
It was three-point nights for Nick Welsh (two goals and an assist) and Kaleb Ergang (three assists) as Storm took Cardiff all the way in this full-blooded clash. Brandon Cutler’s winner 29 seconds into overtime ensured a home win for Manchester.

It’s exactly what it says. Chuck a foam puck in the direction of Lightning Jack, standing on centre ice and if your puck is the closest, you win a commemorative puck AND a replica jersey of your choice (terms and conditions apply).
You know what to do. Purchase those pucks (£1 each) and find a great position at the second period break from where you can chuck that puck. Good luck!
