STORM FORECAST – Storm vs Belfast Giants | The Ultimate Storm Preview

It comes around so quickly, doesn’t it?  Here we are at the start of another weekend and game day is upon us once more.

After a great New Year that saw the Storm capture four points from four against Sheffield Steelers, attention turns to the visit of Belfast Giants for this Saturday affair.

Tickets are available for this one so make sure you secure your seat for another great night in the Shelter.  Alternatively, if you are unable to make it, you can watch on our live webcast, available to purchase now.

PLEASE NOTE: This is NOT the rearranged game that was postponed from Friday 3rd December.  As yet, no date has been rescheduled for that fixture so tickets should be purchased as normal this time.

Face off is at 7:00pm, with doors opening for season tickets holders at 5:45pm then for everyone else at 6:00pm.

NEXT IN THE STORM SHELTER…

Belfast Giants are in Manchester for the first time this season and after a decent run over the festive period, they will have their sights on getting among the top three.

Seven points out of a possible eight was the product of two Scottish double headers against Fife Flyers and Glasgow Clan over the last eight days so confidence will be high.

Storm took the points in overtime the last time the teams met in Belfast in the second of a double header over there.  Head coach Adam Keefe will not have forgotten that.

TICKETS/WEBCAST

Limited tickets remain available for this clash so you can secure your seats for this and future games at the Storm Shelter. The only block with 2 or more seats together for tonight’s game is Block 117. All other blocks have single seats left only but standing tickets are still available!

You can buy yours online at this website or alternatively they can also be purchased by calling 0161 926 8782 or in person at the Planet Ice Box Office.

For disability or wheelchair seating, please contact the Planet Ice box office by email altrincham@planet-ice.co.uk or by telephone on 0161 926 8782.

If you can’t make it, not to worry.  You can cheer on the Storm wherever you are with our game night webcast, available to purchase on Manchester Storm TV as we take you through the action.

Tune in and be part of another big night of hockey in Manchester!

THE STORY SO FAR

14 Nov – Belfast 6 Manchester 3 (Elite League)

15 Nov – Belfast 1 Manchester 2 OT (Elite League)

There’s only been two meetings so far this season and both came in mid-November, where Storm were looking good until Giants found another gear to take victory in game one, before Manchester took the second contest to overtime.

There’s never a dull moment when these two come together and this game will be no different when they meet at the Storm Shelter for the first time this season.

LAST TIME OUT

Manchester Storm were back in the SSE Arena a night after succumbing to a 6-3 loss the night before, looking to make amends from a game that got away from them.

This time provided a much happier outcome as Cameron Critchlow’s men were more resilient as they took the game to overtime where the visitors were celebrating in the end.
