Manchester Storm Land High-Scoring Forward Kyle Maksimovich After Title-Winning Season in Denmark

Manchester Storm are delighted to announce the signing of Canadian forward Kyle Maksimovich, most recently of Herning Blue Fox (Denmark).

The 28-year-old arrives in Manchester following an extensive professional career across North America and Europe, bringing proven offensive production, leadership and high-level experience to the Storm lineup.

Born in Hamilton, Ontario, Maksimovich enjoyed an outstanding junior career in the OHL with the Erie Otters and Ottawa 67’s, where he established himself as one of the league’s most consistent offensive forwards. A former OHL champion with Erie in 2017, he finished his major junior career with 306 points (115G 191A) across 320 OHL appearances. Perhaps most notable from his stellar junior career, Maksimovich shared a dressing room with current NHL superstars Connor McDavid and Alex DeBrincat.

Following junior hockey, Maksimovich began his professional career with the Rockford IceHogs in the AHL before continuing his development in USports and returning to the professional ranks with Indy Fuel in the ECHL. During his time in Indy, he became a key offensive contributor amassing 99 points (44G 55A) in 132 games.

Most recently, the skilled winger iced in Denmark with Herning Blue Fox, adding European experience to an already impressive résumé. In his debut campaign on the continent, Maksimovich formed part of a formidable attacking outfit in Herning as the franchise lost only four regulation games to walk the league title and sweep Herlev Eagles in the play-off series finals to complete a highly impressive domestic double.

Maksimovich is known for his skating ability, creativity and special teams’ playmaking. This latest addition continues to bolster the firepower within the Storm roster as the club continues preparations for an exciting new era.

Speaking on joining Manchester Storm, Maksimovich said:

“I’m very excited for the opportunity to sign with the Storm for the 2026/27 season. I’m looking forward to meeting the fans and getting started in Manchester’s new home arena. After a strong push at the end of last season, I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue building on that success and help take the team even further this year.”

Head Coach Cameron Critchlow believes the Canadian forward will make an immediate impact in the Elite League:

“Kyle is a player with a lot of quality and a lot of professional experience. He’s produced offensively everywhere he’s played, competes hard every night and brings great character to the room. We feel he’ll be an excellent fit for the way we want to play and a player our fans will really enjoy watching.”
