BREAKING | Manchester bring in Liam Morgan to bolster goal-scoring ahead of Elite League season

Manchester Storm are excited to announce the signing of Canadian forward Liam Morgan, most recently of Belfast Giants.

The youthful forward made a good impression within the Elite League during his debut professional campaign, logging 27 points (11G 16A) in just 39 appearances, as well as tallying 13 points (3G 10A) across the EIHL Cup and Champions Hockey League.

Prior to joining the Giants, Morgan spent two years at Union College in the NCAA where he produced 42 points (20G 22A) in 67 outings. The university position of Morgan was earned through an impressive junior career with Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL), during a three-year stint the forward amassed 143 points (61G 82A) in 139 matches.

Ryan Finnerty, Head Coach, had this to say about the signing of Morgan:

I feel like we have got ourselves a serious hockey player in Morgs…he comes to us somewhat under the radar.

This signing reminds me of when we brought in Frankie into the Shelter, as Morgs has speed; great hands and is a natural goal scorer. We know this league is all about speed these days and having someone as hungry as Liam will only benefit the competition we are trying to create in our line-up.

I have been in regular contact with him over the summer and he has been working his tail-off, it is a great opportunity for him to produce big big numbers over here.”

Welcome to Manchester, Liam!
