Gilmour Returns: Storm Secure Top Scorer for New Season

Manchester Storm are pleased to announce the return of last year’s top points scorer, Brady Gilmour, for the 2026/27 EIHL season.

The 27-year-old centre dazzled and delighted the Storm faithful in his debut Elite League campaign, racking up 59 points (19 goals and 40 assists) across 64 games.

A former sixth-round NHL draft pick, Gilmour was an attacking threat throughout the season and consistently logged minutes on the top line. His exceptional puck-handling ability, combined with excellent vision, attracted interest from several major clubs across Europe. However, the arena upgrade and strong off-season recruitment drive from the Storm front office have ensured that Gilmour will return in club colours for another year.

The highly rated import forward spoke of his delight at returning to Manchester:

“I’m super excited to be coming back to Manchester for another year.

Everyone from the fans, my teammates and staff made my first year very enjoyable.

I’m looking forward to building on last year and can’t wait to see all our fans at the AO in September!”

Head Coach Cameron Critchlow commented on Gilmour’s return:

“Brady came in last year and delivered exactly what we hoped for. He adapted quickly to the style of the league and proved himself to be an extremely valuable player for our club.

His composure on the puck and playmaking ability made the decision an easy one from our side.

The move to the AO Arena, along with the opportunity to challenge for silverware again with the Storm, were key factors in Brady’s decision to return. He thoroughly enjoyed his time here, and I’m sure every Storm fan will be delighted to see him back on the ice next season.”
