We’re finally here for one of the special nights in the Elite League calendar and we’re not kidding on when we say we’ve been counting the days down for this game.

It is, of course, Pride Night in the Storm Shelter and one the fans really support as we not only support the guys on the ice, but the message that “Hockey is for Everyone” and it couldn’t be more true.

Tickets are almost gone – at least they were at the time of writing – so the only other place to see the game unless you’re coming to the Storm Shelter is on our live webcast, available to purchase now.

Face off is at 5:30pm, with doors opening for season tickets holders at 4:15pm then for everyone else at 4:30pm.

 

NEXT IN THE STORM SHELTER…

Belfast Giants are going well around the top of the Elite League standings but will be more than ready to face a sell-out Storm Shelter crowd in this Sunday night showdown.

Previous clashes have been interesting to say the least between the two sides so you can expect another competitive affair as both teams look to close out the weekend with a win.

Be prepared for a big night of action with two more points at stake in what will be a very noisy building.

 

AND IT’S PRIDE NIGHT!

It sure is as we continue to show our support for the LGBTQ+ community so make it as colourful as possible as we unite for the same message of love and inclusivity.  This is one game in the calendar that’s not to be missed.

Along with Planet Ice, we are continuing our foodbank appeal with our friends at Wythenshawe Foodbank and donations are welcomed for this one.

Led by Storm in the Community, this collaboration gives our passionate fans the chance to help support those less fortunate within our local area.

Bring your donations to any drop off point at any ticket entrance and they will go directly to Wythenshawe Foodbank for distribution.

It’s meeting number five between Storm and Giants this season, with Belfast three of the previous four, including their only visit to the Storm Shelter so far this season.

Encouragingly, Storm have won three of the last six meetings in this building so it’s by no means a foregone conclusion as the current champions hit the ice here again.

 

LAST TIME OUT

It’s only been a couple of weeks since the last meeting, when Belfast hosted in the regular season for the last time and Adam Keefe’s side only really made the breakthrough in the final period as Giants took the points at the SSE Arena.

SHIRT OFF THE BACK

As you would read, we’ll celebrating Pride in this game and the Shirt off the Back prize is one to really get involved with.

You could be going home with a game-worn Pride jersey from tonight belonging to the player of your choice so what is already special will be even more so for one lucky fan.

The rest of the game worn/issued jerseys will be washed and signed by each player and then sold via Storm Support so keep your eyes out for those.

CHUCK A PUCK

It’s exactly what it says.  Chuck a foam puck in the direction of Lightning Jack, standing on centre ice and if your puck is the closest, you win a commemorative puck AND a replica jersey of your choice (terms and conditions apply).

You know what to do.  Purchase those pucks (£1 each) and find a great position at the second period break from where you can chuck that puck.  Good luck!
