Manchester Storm kick off the 2021 Elite Series against Coventry Blaze at 14:00 in Nottingham this weekend on Saturday 3rd April, before facing Sheffield Steelers at 14:00 on Sunday 4th.

The reaction from fans was brilliant as certain players made their return to the club for the tournament. Saved players included: Dallas Ehrhardt, Zach Sullivan and Finlay Ulrick. Ciaran Long makes his return for the series after spending a season icing for the Belfast Giants, with newcomer Joseph Hazeldine joining from the Panthers. 

New imports to the roster and EIHL include Norwegian forward, Martin Gran and dual national Norwegian/Swedish forward, Jacob Lundell Noer. Canadian forward Maxime Fortier joins the club from Bratislava Capitals, bringing AHL experience and leadership to the squad. Sean Bonar is another new face to the team, bringing vast netminding experience to the defensive side. 

British and dual national British players were selected via a draft, ahead of the Elite Series. Joining the squad from other EIHL teams include the likes of Josh Batch, Ben Lake, Ben Davies. Pick ups from Glasgow Clan were captain, Matt Haywood and alternate captain, Craig Peacock. 

The team have been busy training and testing this week in preparation for the weekend’s games. With no EIHL hockey in over a year, the squad look to give Storm fans a great set of games to watch over the next month.
