Manchester Storm head into mid-January in a strong position after some impressive results so will have nothing to fear when the next couple of games arrive.

Like last week, it’s a home then away double, but it starts a day earlier as we start to get excited for some Friday night hockey.

Let’s see what lies in prospect for the team in another exciting seven days.

Friday 16th January

Manchester Storm vs Glasgow Clan (The Storm Shelter, Face off 7:30pm)

It’s another first on the horizon for the season as Glasgow Clan are Storm Shelter bound for their inaugural visit of the campaign and both teams are in an interesting position.

Clan and Manchester are in that mid table position, locked in a battle where wins could mean a lot in the fullness and previous games between the two have usually been interesting to say the least.

Storm have been victorious in the last three occasions Glasgow have made the trip and with four wins from five at home, won’t have any fears as they look to improve on that form.

Storm have won eight of the 12 meetings between them and Clan at the Storm Shelter since Covid – scoring at least four goals in each of those winning encounters.

It’s our chums in Cardiff again this weekend as we make the trip to South Wales for another feisty and competitive affair. Just the way we like it.

Fresh from Saturday’s slender but important 2-1 win at the Storm Shelter, both sides will do it all again as Devils look to make it three wins in a row on home ice against Manchester.

After a patchy festive period, Devils need to find momentum so if they are to keep their title hopes alive, this is the kind of game they need to win. Storm will have their view on that of course.
