WEEK AHEAD – Return of home comforts

It’s nice to be back! Those little familiarities that make home what it is and Manchester fans will certainly feel that again this weekend.
After a weekend odyssey to Belfast and the double header that yielded mixed results, it’s on to the next dates on the calendar, which doesn’t get any easier.
Let’s delve into what’s to come in the next seven days.

Saturday 22nd November

Manchester Storm vs Cardiff Devils (The Storm Shelter, Face off 7:00pm)

Both teams come into this Saturday on the back of lengthy road trips and while Storm are the home team here, the Devils are extending their time away from the Vindico Arena with this game.
Paul Thompson’s men had an underwhelming trip to Scotland, with one win from their three visits to Glasgow, Dundee and Fife, only winning in the latter game.
Storm enjoyed that overtime win on Saturday in Belfast to make up for Friday’s disappointing loss, but you just know all the focus is now on this one.
It’s a first league meeting in the Storm Shelter this season after the Devils won 2-1 in the Challenge Cup back in September, so expect a hard-fought affair.
DID YOU KNOW?
Manchester’s 6-0 win over the Devils back in March this year is the only time Cardiff have been shutout in the Storm Shelter.

Sunday 23rd November

Sheffield Steelers vs Manchester Storm (Utilita Arena, Face off 4:00pm)

TICKETS
WEBCAST
The bus will be packed and ready to go for a relatively shorter road trip this weekend when Cameron Critchlow takes his team to Sheffield for some Sunday action.
Results at the weekend mean the Steelers top the table as we head into the next round of games, but it’s too soon to make any kind of judgement.
What is a certain is Storm’s record in Yorkshire hasn’t been the best, with only three wins in 25 visits there since Covid.
This weekend is as good as any to try to improve on that, even just a little bit.

DID YOU KNOW?
Gary Haden has taken at least a point in every regular season game for Manchester Storm so far in this campaign.
