WEEK AHEAD – HOME IS WHERE THE HOCKEY IS

They say staying in is the new going out these days so the bus is being parked for the weekend and given some much needed rest as Manchester Storm are staying firmly at home.
That’s right.  No reason to go anywhere.  Two consecutive nights of Storm hockey in the Storm Shelter and two big games with Elite League points to play for.
Let’s take a closer look at what’s to come in the next seven days, including the closing of a prize draw and your chance to show your prediction skills.

Friday 28th November

Manchester Storm vs Fife Flyers (The Storm Shelter, Face off 7:30pm)

Friday night hockey kicks off the weekend as Fife Flyers come to visit and while they languish at the bottom of the Elite League table and without a victory, it doesn’t mean it will be a comfortable night.
Their long streak of defeats has to end some time and Storm will be on high alert to make sure that doesn’t happen on their patch.
That being said, following Sunday’s defeat in Sheffield, it could be just the game to get back to winning ways and vanquish that disappointment.  A big night awaits.

Saturday 29th November

Manchester Storm vs Coventry Blaze (The Storm Shelter, Face off 7:00pm)

WEBCAST
There’s no rest for the wicked and it’s back to action on Saturday for the visit of Coventry Blaze, a team who maybe haven’t had the start to the league campaign they would have liked.
There’s no denying they have the players who can make a difference on any given night so this will be a stern test for Storm as they look to close out the weekend on a high note.
When you consider it comes on the back of a four-game slump for Coventry, it’s going to make it all the more interesting by the time puck drops on Saturday night.  We can’t wait.

And to round off the weekend in style, this fixture will be followed by the return of the hugely popular Skate With The Storm. The post-game skate runs 9:30–10:30pm and is free for all ticket holders who bring their own skates (£5 hire available from Planet Ice). The players will be back on the ice for photos, autographs, and a family-friendly finish to the double-header inside the Storm Shelter. Find out more here.

The last six fixtures in the Storm Shelter between the two teams have yielded an average of 7.5 goals.
