WEEK AHEAD – Countdown to the play-offs begins
We’ve only ten regular season games left to go, so the focus is all about getting to the end of the campaign and finishing as high as possible.
Results at the weekend mean the top eight have been confirmed so it’s all about getting as many points as possible, starting this week.
Let’s see what we can expect in the next seven days.
Friday 13th March
Manchester Storm vs Coventry Blaze (The Storm Shelter, Face off 7:30pm)
TICKETS
WEBCAST
It’s another Friday night at the Storm Shelter to begin another action packed weekend as Coventry Blaze make their way for this one.
While both teams know they’re set for post season action, Blaze are also limbering up for the Challenge Cup Final so they’ll be keen to pick up some momentum.
Storm’s home form has been a real plus under Cameron Critchlow and will look to keep that going as another big crowd is expected.
After a run of consecutive sell-outs, this one is already selling fast so make sure you get your tickets early to avoid disappointment.
DID YOU KNOW?
Storm’s currently tally of 53 points is the fourth time since joining the Elite League in 2015 they’ve reached and breached the 50-point mark in the regular season.
Sunday 15th March
Fife Flyers vs Manchester Storm (Fife Ice Arena, Face off 5:00pm)
TICKETS
WEBCAST
Sunday sees another trip to Scotland and the first of two consecutive Sunday trips to Fife Ice Arena for a date with the Flyers.
As far as the play-offs is concerned, it’s game over for Fife, but they’ll go all out to make it as uncomfortable as possible for Manchester and everyone else between now and the end of the season.
Previous contests there are never easy in front of such a passionate crowd so Storm will have to work hard to make it a happy trip home.
DID YOU KNOW?
This will be the 31st trip to Kirkcaldy for Manchester Storm since joining the Elite League in 2015. Storm have won 13 of the previous 30, claiming nine wins in regulation time.
