Storm Strengthen Forward Lines with Signing of J.D. Dudek

Manchester Storm are thrilled to announce the signing of American centre J.D. Dudek for the 2025–26 Elite Ice Hockey League campaign, most recently of Worcester Railers (ECHL).

Dudek, 29, arrives in Manchester following a productive 2024–25 season with the Worcester Railers in the ECHL, where he notched 13 points (3 goals, 10 assists) in 38 games. A right-shot centre known for his high hockey IQ and two-way reliability, Dudek brings a solid mix of North American and European experience to the Storm lineup.

Originally drafted 152nd overall by the New Jersey Devils in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft, Dudek came through the US National Team Development Program before heading to Boston College. During his four-year NCAA career with the Eagles (2015–2019), he posted 56 points (28G 28A) in 149 games, playing a key role as a responsible centre in a highly competitive collegiate conference.

Following college, Dudek appeared in the AHL with the Binghamton Devils before moving to Worcester Raiders (ECHL) and onwards to Swedish outfit Bodens HF. EIHL fans will remember Dudek from his time with Coventry Blaze, where he played two seasons between 2022 and 2024. He contributed 32 points over 77 games in that span, earning praise for his consistency, strong faceoff ability, and calm presence in all three zones.

Head Coach Cameron Critchlow commented:

“J.D. is a smart, steady centreman who understands the game at both ends of the ice. He’s the kind of player you trust in key moments—penalty kills, late defensive zone faceoffs, or closing out games. We’re really pleased to have him on board.”
