STORM BOLSTER OFF-ICE TEAM WITH RETURN OF S&C COACH

Manchester Storm are delighted to announce the return of Sam Bell as strength & conditioning lead ahead of the upcoming Elite League season!

Sam, who is a life-long Storm fan, travelled throughout the UK and even to Finland to watch the team play. Since graduating with a degree in Applied Sports Science, Sam has over 14 years of experience, including spending time previously with the club shortly after re-formation. Sam has also worked with other professional sports teams such as Salford Red Devils RL, Widnes Vikings RL, Lancashire County Cricket Club, plus a whole host of semi-pro and amateur teams and athletes.

Sam had this to say on his return: “I’m delighted to be returning to the Storm as Head of Strength and Conditioning. As a lifelong fan since 1995, it’s an honour to work for the club again and I am really excited to support Ginner in his first year as Head Coach. Finner has built a great off-ice team and I am looking forward to having a positive impact and working with this exciting squad. I can’t wait for camp to start and get to work with the players, although working with James Downie will make me feel old as I remember watching his Dad play for Storm!

We look forward to seeing Sam’s progress throughout the duration of the 2022/23 Elite League season. Welcome back, Sam!
