WEEKEND PREVIEW: Manchester Storm Back on Home Ice This Sunday!

Tickets for Storm’s upcoming home game against MK Lightning can be ordered online HERE, or by calling the Box Office on 0161 926 8782, or in person at the box office. Face-off is Sunday 17th March, 17:30 face-off.

Last weekend saw only one EIHL game for the Storm, away at Dundee against the Stars. The Storm claimed a road win, taking two points in regular time, with goals from Stadel, Moffatt and Long – who scored two goals.

Join us this Sunday at 17:30PM as the Storm face visitors, MK Lightning in what will be a HUGE game for the team, as they look to retain a playoff position.


This Saturday, the Storm travel over to Nottingham to face the Nottingham Panthers. They look to compete for two points in regular time and a road win, during an important weekend on the run up to playoffs!

Earlier this week, Great Britain’s Head Coach announced a 28 man squad in preparation for their exhibition games in the UK, prior to heading to Slovakia for the IIHF World Championships. Defencemen Tim Billingsley and Steve Lee have made the squad. Also chosen were forwards, Ollie Betteridge, Robert Farmer, Robert Lachowicz and Brett Perlini.  


There are only three games left of the regular EIHL 2018/19 season, and the Storm will pushing to pick up two points in vital game against visitors, MK Lightning this sunday!

There aren’t many games of the 2018/19 season remaining, and the team are looking for as many points as possible, in order to retain a top eight position. Come and show your support this Sunday and let’s pack the Storm Shelter!

The MK Lightning family recently had some unfortunate news, as former player, Ross Bowers (now with MK Thunder) sustained a serious eye injury during the final period of their home game last weekend. Ross received emergency surgery has lost the majority of the sight in the affected eye. He has been informed that even after 3 or 4 more surgeries the best he can hope for in that eye will be able to tell if a light in a room is on or off.

Joining team GB for this year’s exhibition games are Storm players – Mike Hammond, Dallas Ehrhardt and the current EIHL British leading points scorer, Ciaran Long. A final decision to take 25 players to the World Championships will be made by the back-to-back games against KHL side, Torpedo.
