PRE-SEASON
FINAL

Two stern tests await Manchester Storm over the next couple of rounds of Challenge Cup action, with the competitive campaign finally getting underway for Cameron Critchlow’s side this weekend.
There are points on the line as Storm prepare to join the action, with a busy few days ahead and plenty to look forward to.
So, let’s load up the bus and take a look at what lies ahead for Cameron Critchlow’s side this week.

It’s Friday night under the lights of the Vindico Arena as Manchester Storm make the trip to the Welsh capital for the first of the two games this weekend.
Paul Thompson’s side began with a home 3-1 win over Guildford Flames before losing 3-2 at Coventry Blaze on Sunday, but will have their sights on two more points.
Previous meetings between the two have tended to be full blooded affairs so expect no different on this occasion as Manchester look for something by way of points on the road.

Straight after the visit to Wales, Storm are back on the bus and will pitch up in Coventry for the first visit of the new season to the Skydome Arena and a date with the Blaze.
Like Cardiff, Blaze endured a mixed weekend after a heavy 6-0 loss to Sheffield Steelers on Saturday but recovered to take both points from Cardiff a day later.
Both teams got a look at each other in pre-season, as Storm were defeated 3-1, but this is an entirely different proposition, as it always is when it comes to competitive games.
