FINAL

After midweek games in recent weeks, it’s a straight run through to the weekend as Manchester Storm prepare for just the two games to come.
It’s back on the road in the Challenge Cup and the small matter of a visit from the champions at the Storm Shelter.
Let’s see what we can expect this week with the Storm.

The need for cup points get more and more urgent as Storm take the road to Surrey in the Challenge Cup as they look continue their involvement in this season’s tournament.
After narrow losses over the weekend, Cameron Critchlow’s men are out for victory and they’d certainly love to get it in a notoriously difficult venue in the Spectrum.
Flames had quite the weekend with a heavy 10-2 loss in Fife on Saturday then bouncing back from two goals down to defeat Glasgow Clan 6-2 when they went to Scotland.
But being back home will fuel their need for those points themselves with only a single point between the sides in the Group A table going into this one.

Manchester are back to face Belfast Giants in their latest league outing and looking to add to the six points on the board so far at this stage.
Adam Keefe’s side only began their league defence over the weekend and emerged with mixed results - a slender 1-0 win in Coventry against the Blaze followed by a 5-2 defeat against Cardiff Devils.
Last season saw three wins apiece in the league, with Storm winning two of their three at home so that recent memory could be useful when the players lock horns with their Giants opponents.
Regardless, it’s another big occasion and one where points are at the forefront of any objective.
