Manchester Storm forward Lewis Hook would love to pick more points on the road after starting the current four-game road stretch with victory in Glasgow.
The 2-1 success north of the border has set the tone for the weekend trips to Cardiff (Saturday) then on to Coventry (Sunday) before concluding on Wednesday back in Scotland against Dundee Stars.
But Hook, speaking on the latest edition of StormCast, says the next two games against the Devils then the Blaze are important.
“It’s early doors, but it’s nice to string some wins together in the league,” he said. “It’s important and now we have three more away games to come.
“If we can get a couple more wins, we’ll be in a good spot when we get back to the AO for the double header next week.
“It was a real professional win (in Glasgow). From the moment the puck dropped to the end, everyone bought in. It was 1-1 and we answered back quickly so it was sweet to win away.
“‘Critch’ set us a goal over the next few games so getting these points was really good. But looking ahead, we didn’t have a great game when we played in Cardiff in the cup a couple of weeks ago.
“We’ll obviously look at that and try to prepare well for Saturday. But it’s an important weekend in the league for us with four points ups for grabs so we need to get them all.”
