Dennis busby returns for second season with Manchester storm

Signing news

Manchester Storm are delighted to confirm that defenceman Dennis Busby will return to the club for the 2026/27 Motorpoint Elite League season, following an outstanding debut campaign in Storm colours.

Busby made an immediate impact in his first season with the Storm, quickly establishing himself as one of the club’s most dependable players. The defenceman became trusted in every situation throughout the campaign, consistently logging top-four minutes and becoming a key figure on the blueline.

The import defenceman appeared in all 68 games, registering 6 goals and 14 assists during an impressive rookie season, while earning the trust of the coaching staff as one of the team’s most consistent performers.

His ability to contribute in all situations, whether at even strength or on the penalty kill made him an invaluable part of the Storm’s defensive unit and a firm favourite amongst the Storm faithful.

Buzzer gave us exactly what we were looking for last season. He came in, worked incredibly hard every night and developed into one of our most reliable defencemen. He played big minutes against top opposition, contributed offensively and was someone we could trust in every situation. We’re delighted to have him back for another season because we know exactly what he’ll bring to this group, and we believe there’s even more to come from him

Head Coach, Cameron Critchlow

Speaking about his return to Manchester, Busby added:

I’m looking forward to being back in Manchester for another year. It was a super easy decision, and I can’t wait to be in the new arena playing in front of our amazing fans. I’m excited to keep building on what we started last season
