PRE-SEASON
FINAL

The Manchester Storm are pleased to confirm their 2026/27 captaincy group, with Chase Harrison continuing as captain for a second season.
Harrison became the 7th captain of the Manchester Storm in the Modern Motorpoint EIHL era last season, taking on the responsibility for the first time and leading the team throughout the campaign.
He will be supported by three Alternate Captains:
#12 Stephen Johnson
#14 Loren Ulett
#90 Drydn Dow
While Harrison continues his return to full fitness, #13 Joe Nardi will assume the captaincy on an interim basis for the foreseeable future.
Nardi made an immediate impression during his first season in Manchester, establishing himself as a player who leads through both his performances on the ice and his presence within the dressing room.
Head Coach Cam Critchlow highlighted those qualities when discussing Nardi's appointment:
Nards is a player that has stood out over his first season as someone who is willing to do whatever it takes to win. He leads with his play and his voice in the room.
We know he will exemplify what it means to captain the Manchester Storm.
Nardi's appointment provides continuity during Harrison's absence, while the remainder of the leadership group will continue in their roles.
With Harrison retaining the captaincy and Johnson, Nardi, Ulett and Dow providing support, the Storm head into the new campaign with a leadership group combining character, competitiveness and experience.
The club would like to congratulate all five players on their appointments and looks forward to seeing them lead the Storm throughout the 2026/27 season.
