Manchester Storm are excited to confirm that forward J.D. Dudek will return for a second season ahead of the 2026/27 Motorpoint Elite League campaign.

Dudek almost immediately established himself as an important part of Cameron Critchlow’s forward group through his work ethic and willingness to battle for the puck all over the ice.

A versatile forward capable of playing across all three forward positions, Dudek provided the coaching staff with valuable flexibility while consistently putting the team’s needs first. His attitude, professionalism and commitment also made him a respected teammate within the dressing room.

The American iced in 54 games, recording 14 goals and 10 assists for 24 points. Alongside his offensive production, Dudek developed a reputation for finding timely goals in key moments, repeatedly stepping up when his side needed him most.

Now with more than 130 Motorpoint Elite League appearances to his name, Dudek brings a wealth of experience and a thorough understanding of the league, making him another important piece of the Storm’s roster heading into the new season.

 

Head Coach Cameron Critchlow said:

“JD is the type of player every coach wants because you know he is going to be 100% committed to the game plan. He competes hard, battles for every puck and does a lot of the little things that help teams win hockey games.

His versatility was a huge asset for us as well. He was able to play anywhere across the forward lines, never complained about the role he was given and always put the team first. On top of that, he has a real knack for scoring important goals at key times…which I am hoping he can continue to do for us.”

 

Dudek spoke of his delight about continuing for the Storm:

“We have some unfinished business to take care of.

I am very excited to be back and to be a part of this team that’s looking to win some trophies this season.”
