Manchester Storm and National Merchandise unite to elevate fan experience ahead of historic AO Arena return

This Partnership will support club’s ambition to deliver a bigger gameday experience as Manchester Storm enters an exciting new era.

Manchester Storm are pleased to announce a partnership with National Merchandise to design and deliver our official merchandise range ahead of the club’s landmark return to the AO Arena for the 2026/27 season.

The partnership marks a significant step in the club’s preparations for its homecoming, as Manchester Storm looks to ensure every element of the fan experience matches the scale and ambition of one of the biggest moments in the club’s modern history.

The move will see Manchester Storm return to the AO Arena for the first time since 2002, reconnecting the club with its roots and bringing elite ice hockey back to the heart of Manchester.

As the club enters this exciting new era, National Merchandise will work closely with Manchester Storm to develop a merchandise range that celebrates the club’s identity, reflects the pride of its fanbase and supports a bigger, more immersive gameday experience.

The partnership will also support the launch of a dedicated online store, alongside merchandise outlets and stands at AO Arena on game nights, giving fans more ways to browse, buy and show their support as Storm returns home.

National Merchandise brings proven expertise in delivering official merchandise programmes for elite sports brands, including fellow EIHL clubs Nottingham Panthers and Belfast Giants. Its approach combines strong design, creative collaboration and a genuine understanding of what fans want to create ranges that feel authentic to each club while meeting the expectations of modern fans.

With momentum building following last season and UK ice hockey continuing to grow in profile, Manchester Storm’s return to the AO Arena represents a major opportunity to welcome new and existing supporters into the next chapter of the club’s story.

The new merchandise range will be developed with that ambition in mind, helping fans show their pride and making matchday at the AO Arena something every Storm supporter will want to be part of.

Emma Finnerty, Managing Director of Manchester Storm IHC, said:

“Manchester Storm’s return to the AO Arena marks an exciting new chapter for the club and our supporters. As we prepare for this landmark moment, it’s important that every aspect of the fan experience reflects the ambition and pride that comes with it.

“It was important for us to find a partner that understands the connection between the club and its supporters. Merchandise is far more than apparel; it’s a symbol of identity, loyalty and belonging. National Merchandise was a natural choice. Their experience within the EIHL, combined with their commitment to quality and innovation, made them the ideal partner as we look to elevate our retail offering. We’re looking forward to working together to create products that Storm fans will be proud to wear and represent wherever they go.”

Phil Jones, Commercial Director at National Merchandise, said:

“Manchester Storm’s return to the AO Arena is one of the most exciting moments in UK ice hockey right now, and we’re proud to be part of it.

“This is the start of an exciting new era for a club with incredible heritage, passionate supporters and real momentum behind it. Through our work in the EIHL, we’ve seen first-hand what a well-crafted merchandise programme can mean to a club and its fans.

“Our focus will be on creating a range that reflects the pride, passion and identity of Manchester Storm, while making it easy for fans to access official merchandise online and on match nights at the AO Arena.”
