LEAGUE FIXTURE: STORM 3-0 STARS

Your Goodwin Group Manchester Storm produced an impressive all-round performance to shutout Dundee Stars, 3-0.

An outstanding first period from the hosts nearly saw them score on their very first venture into the Stars zone. However, a fine save from Leclerc kept things level. Less than a minute later, Storm would find themselves ahead as a spectacle wrist shot from Gagnon somehow managed to evade everybody on the ice.

This slender advantage was eventually doubled through the in-form Hughesman, who was on hand to lift the puck into the Stars goal. A 2-0 scoreline, in favour of the Storm, would persist until the first intermission.

The middle stanza was a more evenly contested twenty minutes, as both sides spurned multiple goal scoring chances. This wastefulness continued for the vast majority of the period until playmaker, Aulin converted clinically on the 1on1 at 36:05, short-handed.

The initial stages of the final period were largely dominated by the Stars. Although, the visitors could not find a way to solve Matt Ginn in the Storm goal. The Canadian shot stopper turned aside all 33 shots on goal.
