Homegrown Talent: Theo Malone Signs with Storm Ahead of 2025/26 Season
Manchester Storm are proud to announce the signing of forward Theo Malone, an original product of the Manchester Storm Academy. Theo becomes the latest graduate to join our newly formed Elite Development Programme, ahead of the 2025/26 EIHL campaign.
A genuine success story of the Storm’s youth pathway, Malone emerges from the Manchester Storm Academy via a one-year stint with HC Energie Karlovy Vary U17s (Czechia), before making this step into senior hockey.
The club’s latest junior graduate brings youthful energy, scoring flair, and a deep understanding of Storm systems and culture. Throughout his time within our academy structure, he demonstrated a natural goal-scoring instinct and impressive hockey awareness – qualities we are excited to see translated to the Elite League level.
Head Coach Cameron Critchlow commented:
“Theo is another excellent example of the Manchester Storm Academy programme in action. He’s sharp around the net, plays with confidence, and already understands the demands of Storm hockey. We’re really looking forward to integrating him into our senior setup for the season ahead.”
Theo Malone becomes the latest academy graduate to make the step up to the professional ranks in Storm colours.”
