Hat-trick Hinam still revelling in treble glow

Manchester Storm forward Tyler Hinam has urged the fans to bring the energy against Belfast Giants in Sunday’s Pride game as he reflected on a first hat-trick last week.

The 26-year-old notched a first period treble last Friday as Manchester sealed a 5-1 home win over Glasgow Clan.

And Hinam especially enjoyed achieving it in front of the home fans as he looks forward to seeing the stands filled for Sunday’s event game.

“They (Hat-tricks) don’t happen often, so it was obviously fun, and doing it at home in front of our great fans made it even better,”

he said.

“I think the Pride game is important for all, but obviously a little more so for our group. We’re excited to show our support and love for Sully, as well as the entire LGBTQ+ community.

“When the crowd is packed, loud and cheering we feed off that energy, so please keep bringing it.”

Hinam also commented on the team’s current position and refuses to let himself get too excited over the team’s lofty top half position in the Elite League standings.

He added:

“I think until you’re at the very top it’s easy to stay motivated, there’s always someone in front of you to chase.

“We’re constantly looking to gain ground on those top four teams and create space beneath us and we’ll look to do that again this weekend.”
