Manchester Storm are delighted to confirm the addition of Raymond Brice, most recently of EV Duisburg (Germany).

The American forward has joined from the same club as Storm winger, Zack Phillips, and will be looking to make his debut this weekend against Fife Flyers. A product of the NAHL youth system, Brice performed admirably in a tough junior division with 56 points (29G 27A) in 114 matches.

The 6ft2 forward then joined Michigan Tech (NCAA) to combine his playing and education from 2016-2020. In his four year tenure at Michigan Tech, Brice played in 95 games and accrued 26 points (13G 13A), including a spell as captain in his senior year.

The pandemic naturally limited Brice’s professional hockey options as a rookie and 14 SPHL outings for Macon Mayhem were enough for the forward to cut his teeth in the highly competitive North American ranks. Brice would then join Kalamazoo Wings (ECHL) for two seasons, 2021-23, during which he represented the franchise on 132 occasions before opting to move to Europe.

The current campaign started in Hungary with DEAC (Erste Liga) before Brice decided to join EV Duisburg after a handful of appearances. In 24 games, the multi-positional forward had 9 goals and 13 assists.

Raymond Brice will be sponsored by AAMS during his time in Manchester and the club would like to thank AAMS for their continued support throughout the 2023/24 Elite League season.

An excited Raymond Brice commented: “I’m really excited to be playing for a team like Manchester with an outstanding reputation and a chance to win night in and night out.”

Matt Ginn, Head Coach, had this to say about his new signing: “I’m excited to add Raymond to our group. He’s another guy who has been a captain in the past and all the reports I’ve got on him as a player, person and teammate have all been positive. He’s a big, physical forward that skates extremely well for his size. Raymond is a versatile forward that plays a 200 foot game and will add some depth to our group.”
