Manchester Storm games are played at the AO Arena, directly connected to Manchester Victoria Station and right in the heart of Manchester city centre.

The easiest way to get to the Storm is by public transport. Manchester Victoria is right next to the Arena.

TRAIN

Arriving at Manchester Victoria

Manchester Victoria is the easiest option.

The AO Arena is within the Victoria Station complex, so you can arrive by train and walk straight into the arena.

Arriving at Manchester Piccadilly

If you arrive at Manchester Piccadilly, you can:

  • Take a Metrolink tram towards Victoria

  • Take the free city-centre bus

  • Walk through Manchester city centre

Allow extra time if you're travelling from Piccadilly, particularly around busy periods.

METROLINK

Metrolink services run directly to Victoria from several parts of Greater Manchester, including:

  • Bury

  • Rochdale

  • Altrincham

  • East Didsbury

  • Manchester Airport

For other destinations, you can connect via St Peter's Square.

Tip: Many Metrolink services continue to run after events have finished, making the tram a great option for getting home after the game.

For live departures, service chamges and journey planning, check the Transport for Greater Manchester website.

BUS

There are plenty of bus options into Manchester city centre.

Shudehill Bus Station is approximately a 5-minute walk from the AO Arena, while Piccadilly Bus Station is around 10 minutes away.

Manchester's free city-centre bus also connects Victoria with other parts of central Manchester, including Piccadilly.

Use the Bee Network journey planner to find the best route for your gameday.

CAR

The official on-site CitiPark car park has 958 spaces, including 40 Blue Badge bays.

Parking can be pre-booked.

Blue Badge parking: The 40 Blue Badge bays cannot be specifically booked and are available on a first-come, first-served basis. An attendant will direct you to a space if one is available when you arrive with your Blue Badge.

Allow Extra Time

Traffic around the AO Arena and Manchester city centre can be very busy, particularly at peak times.

There are also ongoing roadworks around the city centre, so allow plenty of extra time for your journey and arrival at the Arena.

PARK & RIDE

If you don't want to drive into Manchester city centre, Park & Ride is a great option.

The AO Arena recommends several Metrolink Park & Ride sites:

  • Ladywell — from the west
250 spaces | Approx. 25-minute journey to the city centre

  • Hollinwood — from the south
202 spaces | Approx. 20-minute journey to the city centre

  • Ashton Moss — from the east
200 spaces | Approx. 30-minute journey to the city centre

  • Sale Water Park — from the south

Park your car and continue your journey into Manchester by Metrolink.

TAXI & DROP-OFF

There is a taxi rank at the bottom of the Hunts Bank entrance.

If you're being dropped off by car, the AO Arena also allows drop-offs within the CitiPark car park without a fee.

GAMEDAY TIP:

Give yourself plenty of time.

We recommend arriving early enough to allow for your journey, parking, ticket checks and security before heading inside.

Get here. Get loud. Let's Go, Storm!
