Critchlow looking for the edge against Giants
Manchester Storm coach Cameron Critchlow wants his team to be sharp when they entertain Belfast Giants in the only game of the weekend in the Storm Shelter.
After two contrasting home results last week, Storm are firmly focussed on Belfast in a third home game in a row with points at a premium this weekend.
And Critchlow is enjoying the fact he and his team can put all their energy into preparing for and hopefully delivering another win over Adam Keefe’s side tomorrow night (Friday 5th December | Face off 7:30pm).
“Having only one weekend opponent allows the guys to mentally prepare and put everything in terms of focus and energy into facing them,” he said.
“Looking back when we played them a few weeks ago over there, I felt we played excellent hockey for five of the six periods and that’s something we will need to continue to do.
“Belfast are a team who can come in waves and have good depth, so we will need to be sharp and fully concentrated.
“It is very rare in this league to have three consecutive home games. We have played well in our rink in recent weeks, and we certainly plan to continue to do so. Plus, we want to make it hard on our opponents too.”
