Chase Harrison Returns for Fifth Season with Manchester Storm

Manchester Storm are delighted to confirm the return of defenceman Chase Harrison for the 2026-27 EIHL season, marking his fifth consecutive campaign with the club.

Since arriving in Manchester ahead of the 2022–23 season, the Canadian blue-liner has established himself as a cornerstone of the Storm’s defence and leadership group.

Harrison has consistently played important minutes in all situations, while also serving as a valuable mentor to younger players both on and off the ice.

Harrison, 29, has made 175 appearances for the Storm, recording 7 goals and 29 assists during his time in Manchester. A reliable presence on the back end, he has regularly been tasked with shutting down the opposition’s top forwards and leading the penalty killing unit.

The upcoming season also presents an opportunity for Harrison to bounce back after an injury-affected 2025–26 campaign, with the experienced defenceman eager to return to full fitness and make a significant impact for the Storm.

Head Coach Cameron Critchlow commented:

“Harry has been a hugely important player for this organisation since the day he arrived. His experience, professionalism and understanding of the game make him a player that every coach wants on their team.

Last season was frustrating for him at times due to injury, but we know the quality he brings when he’s healthy. We’re delighted to have him back and we’re looking forward to seeing him make a big contribution this season.”

The fifth year Storm player spoke about his return:

“I couldn’t be happier to be back with the Storm for my 5th season.

There is no place I’d rather be and I consider Manchester my second home.

Can’t wait to get things going with the boys and see the AO rockin this season!”
