WEEK AHEAD | Two more on the horizon
So it was three points on the board after another keenly fought weekend of games, but we all know Manchester Storm would love full points this week.
The season is at a critical stage before we head for the final push and getting as many points as possible is key as teams all jockey for play-off positions.
Allow us to let you know about what’s to come over the next seven days.
Saturday 21st February
Manchester Storm vs Nottingham Panthers (The Storm Shelter, Face off 7:00pm)
TICKETS
WEBCAST
The end of the season is beginning to loom into view and there’s so much to play for up and down the standings so this game could be significant for both sides.
Going into the new week, Panthers are a little off the pace in terms of the title race so a win could well breathe new life into their hopes of contention.
For Manchester, Nottingham are right above them and a win here would have them still hanging on their coat tails and looking upwards. It has the makings of a good one.
Be warned, we’re already anticipating another sold out building so make sure you get your tickets as early as possible.
DID YOU KNOW?
Nottingham Panthers are the only team Manchester Storm have yet to beat in the Storm Shelter this season. Storm have beaten everyone else at least once during the campaign.
Sunday 22nd February
Coventry Blaze vs Manchester Storm (Skydome Arena, Face off 5:30pm)
TICKETS
WEBCAST
The weekend finishes with another tricky trip to the Skydome against a Coventry Blaze side who have transformed their form in the second half of the season.
Something has clicked for the Blaze since the turn of the year and although they remain sixth place, Storm are only a couple of places ahead of them with a narrower gap than there was before.
Overtime was needed to separate the teams when they faced each other at the start of this month so you can bet it will be another close run thing as Coventry and Manchester look to close out another week two points healthier from this one.
DID YOU KNOW?
Manchester Storm have won 15 from their previous 33 trips to Coventry’s Skydome since joining the Elite League in 2015.
