Critch’s challenge turns to Clan double

Manchester Storm Head Coach Cameron Critchlow insists he’s embracing the challenge of leading the team back to winning ways ahead of the weekend double bill against Glasgow Clan.

Although Storm have fallen short in their last four games, they’ve picked up points in three of them – highlighting the fight and resilience within the group. However, Coach is eager to rediscover that winning feeling.

Critchlow remains positive and confident that with continued hard work the wins will come, with the focus firmly on delivering that response against the Clan, who have also faced inconsistency in the Elite League.

“You should enjoy any challenge,” he said. “This has been a tougher stretch for our team than we’re used to so far this season, but it’s fun to see players respond in these situations and test their mettle.

Right now, it’s not so much trying to keep things light, but turn the focus to where we need to get better to get back on track.

Glasgow is fighting hard to gain points on teams and we know they will bring their best. There are no easy games in this league, and we expect nothing less this weekend.

But it’s not an easy place to go to and win.  We’ve had some good performances in the past including this season and will need remain focused for 60 minutes.”

Critchlow also offered a word about the Storm support too ahead of Saturday’s Fan Appreciation Night at the Storm Shelter and could only reflect on what has been a positive experience from his time at the club.

He added:

“The fans have been incredible during my seven years with the Storm and I’ve noticed each year the fan base grows not only in numbers, but in passion too.

They’ve really supported the club this season and have been instrumental to our success so far and we thank them for their continued support.  It means a lot to everyone in the room.”
