Cutler anticipates “big game’ in Dundee

Manchester Storm forward Brandon Cutler says the team have to learn from Sunday’s loss and take back the momentum.

Cameron Critchlow’s side are Dundee bound to take on the Stars tomorrow after taking a point in a 4-3 overtime defeat to Coventry.

And Cutler says confidence is the key as they begin a three-game week in Scotland.

“Going to Dundee is a big game for us after we gave up a 3-1 lead late in the third on Sunday,” he said

“It’s important for us to get the two points and get the momentum swaying back in our favour on Wednesday when we go there.

“But we have to be confident playing with the lead and learn from our mistakes. It’s tough to work all game and be so close and not able to finish the whole 60 minutes.”

Cutler also reflected on a three-point weekend for Storm and a four-pointer for himself, having picked up three goals and an assist.

He added: “It was a big win against Sheffield on Saturday. Whenever we play them, it’s always a good game so it was huge to get the two points from it.

“I was pleased to get the points I did, and confidence is important when you can on a streak. But overall, the powerplay is feeling good right now, which has been key to our success on the man advantage, and we hope that continues this week.”
