Dante enjoys good first Storm impression!
New Storm forward Dante Hannoun says his transition to life in the UK has been as smooth as he could have hoped – now he wants to hit the ice.
The 27-year-old has arrived and ready for action ahead of this weekend’s home double header against Fife Flyers and Coventry Blaze.
And he’s excited about his new opportunity after joining from Danish side Odense Bulldogs as he outlined what he’ll bring to Cameron Critchlow’s side.
“My first impressions have been awesome,” he said. “My new coach is super knowledgeable and approachable, and he has made the transition coming in very smooth. I’m excited to get things going.“I heard a lot of positive things about the league and about Manchester from everyone I spoke with so I’m looking forward to the great opportunity here.“What I know about the city and team is what I’ve been told from others and it’s mainly about how amazing and fun it is to play and spend time here.“Away from the hockey side I would like to visit some new cities that I’ve never been to and explore.“On the ice, my key attributes are playing with pace, playing with a little grit and the ability to make plays to ultimately help the team win, so hopefully I can bring that and provide some energy.”
