WEEK AHEAD – Storm set for Scottish double

What a weekend! Four points on the board – two each in the league and the Challenge Cup – and a new week is just beginning.

There’s plenty to look forward to after those wins over Nottingham Panthers and Fife Flyers, but now it’s time to turn our attention to the next challenges that lies ahead.

Check out what you can expect in the next seven days as the Storm plot the challenges to come…

FRIDAY 10TH OCTOBER

Glasgow Clan vs Manchester Storm (Braehead Arena, face off 7:30pm)

It’s the first of a double bill against our friends from north of the border as we make our way up the M6 to take on Corey Neilson’s side for the second time on league business.

After a confidence-boosting weekend, the trip to Glasgow will be a difficult one, but a lot can happen in the 60 minutes, as we’ve seen over time.

Clan are back home after weekend trips to Guildford and Sheffield, where they picked up two of the four points on offer so will want to put on a show for their fans on their return so a big night of action is in prospect.

The last time both sides met, Clan edged a five-goal thriller 3-2 in Glasgow.  Cam Critchlow and the boys would love to reverse that.

SATURDAY 11TH OCTOBER

Manchester Storm vs Dundee Stars (The Storm Shelter, Face off 7pm)

Saturday night means hockey night as Dundee Stars come to town, keen to get league points on the board after their last outing.

Sheffield thrashed them 6-1 on Saturday in league play and after Sunday’s penalty shots win against Belfast Giants in the Challenge Cup, Marc LeFebvre’s men will be laser focussed on taking points away on the road.

There’s never a dull moment when the Stars are in the Storm Shelter and that will certainly be the case again.
