Manchester Storm Sign American Goaltender Drew DeRidder for 2025–26 EIHL Season

Manchester Storm are proud to announce the signing of American goaltender Drew DeRidder for the upcoming Elite League season, most recently of Atlanta Gladiators (ECHL).

DeRidder arrives from the Atlanta Gladiators of the ECHL, where during the 2024–25 campaign he appeared in 37 games and posted a 3.02 GAA and a .904 save percentage, compiling a record of 10–19–7–3. Prior to that, he suited up for the Iowa Heartlanders, making 25 appearances with a 3.05 GAA and .905 SV%, and was named Warrior Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week in January. DeRidder also had a brief loan spell with the AHL’s Rochester Americans in March 2024.

His collegiate career was split between Michigan State and the University of North Dakota. At MSU, he played 70 games and graduated ranked sixth all-time in both save percentage (.916) and goalsagainst average (2.95). In his final NCAA season with North Dakota, DeRidder posted a 13–9–4 record with a 2.53 GAA, .899 save percentage and four shutouts, while earning multiple weekly conference honours.

DeRidder is known for his athleticism, composure, and quick lateral movement, Drew brings a strong and reliable presence to the Storm crease. His recent form and consistent performances at both the collegiate and professional level could make him a standout addition to the Manchester Storm roster, and we are excited to welcome him to Altrincham in Storm colours.

Head Coach Cam Critchlow was delighted to confirm his second import netminder:

“We’re really pleased to bring Drew to Manchester. He’s a technically sound goaltender with great pedigree from both college and pro levels. His work ethic, poise under pressure, and ability to make key saves in big moments are exactly what we were looking for. We believe he’s ready to take the next step in his career and we’re excited to see what he can do in a Storm jersey.”
