Dallas Ehrhardt Returns as Assistant Coach for 2026/27

Signing news

Manchester Storm are pleased to confirm the return of Dallas Ehrhardt as assistant coach for the 2026/27 season.

It may be one of the summer’s less surprising announcements, with Ehrhardt’s continued involvement having been expected by many around the club, but the return of one of Manchester Storm’s most recognisable figures remains an important one.

Having joined the Storm shortly after the club’s modern reformation, Ehrhardt has gone on to become one of the defining figures of the organisation’s modern era. His years in Manchester have seen him establish himself as a leader on the ice, a respected figure within the dressing room and, ultimately, an assistant coach, cementing his status as a genuine Storm legend.

His Elite League career has seen him make 506 appearances, recording 80 goals and 160 assists for 240 points, alongside 555 penalty minutes.

Last season, despite his increasing coaching responsibilities, Ehrhardt remained available when required, featuring 16 times and recording one goal and one assist.

For 2026/27, his primary focus will be his role alongside Cam Critchlow, where his extensive playing experience and intimate knowledge of the club will continue to benefit the Storm playing group. However, should injuries require additional depth, Ehrhardt will remain available to step back onto the ice.

As the Storm prepare to begin a new era at the AO Arena, few people are better placed to understand the significance of the club’s latest chapter. Having been part of the Storm journey for so much of the post-reformation era, Ehrhardt will now help guide the club into its new home while remaining ready to contribute on the ice when called upon.

Dallas is a huge part of the history of this club and of what Manchester Storm is today. He joined us early in the post-reformation era and has experienced a lot of what has brought us to where we are now. To be able to work alongside him as we move into the AO Arena is really exciting. He understands the club, he understands our supporters and he understands what wearing that jersey means.

His experience is invaluable to our group, particularly for the younger players, and he continues to develop really well as a coach. We also know that if injuries hit us, Dallas can step in and contribute on the ice. That experience is something you simply can’t replace, and it gives us another option throughout a long season.

Manchester Storm Head Coach, Cam Critchlow

I’m thrilled to return for the upcoming season and this next chapter with the Storm. Working alongside Cam is a privilege; he’s someone I respect immensely, and his dedication is evident every time the team takes the ice. The news of our return to the AO Arena was an exciting milestone for all of us. Emma and Ryan have set a compelling vision for the future, and the high expectations that come with it make this a season I’m genuinely excited to be a part of.
